Artillery Regiment 24 was part of the 24th Infantry Division (Polar Bear).Formed on 15th October 1935 in Chemnitz.Saw action in Poland and France.Served as part of Army Group South during the invasion of Russia from June 1941-December 1942.Transfered to Army Group North from December 1942 until the end of the war. Surrendered in Courland to the Red Army in May 1945.
