Good example of a Waffenfrock or Parade Tunic.Stitch in type shoulder boards.For the rank of Sergeant Major or Oberfeldwebel.White WaffenFarbe for Infantry.Alloy cyphers for the 9th Company,227th Regement.Loops for one award.Has all of its buttons which are marked Assmann Extra Fein.Fully lined in green rayon artificial silk.In Good condition.
227th Regement was part of 100th Leichte Division.Formed in December 1940.Redesignated 100th Jager Division in July 1942.Served on Russian front with Army Group South.Fought in the battle for Staryyogcol.Advance across the River Don.Drive to the Volga and the battle at Stalingrad.The Division was destroyed in January 1943.Reformed in Belgrade in April 1943.Transferred to Albania in July.Returned to Army Group South in Russia in March 1944.Fought in Hungary.Surrendered to the Red Army in Silesia.
